Come, Lord Jesus
Our attitude must be Come, Lord Jesus.
The Lord is coming, let's hasten His return!
"As we depend on the Lord helplessly, depend on Him as our love and strength..."
Earlier this week, the Lord showed me what it really means, "death cannot hold the resurrection life." The Lord Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live" (John 11:25). The Lord is resurrection today, we can experience Him as resurrection life now, not only in that day, but subjectively day by day. Furthermore, as shown at the end of John chapter 11, when we cooperate with the Lord's resurrecting power, we need the saints to help us loose the dead grave clothes. Thank the Lord for His Body. His supply and encouragment through the members, oh how I need you saints desperately.
The Lord also revealed Himself as Christ the One reality. I never really touched what it meant that Christ is our real food, our real clothing, our real chair. Everything in the world today is passing away, a mere vanity, providing no satisfaction in our innermost being. I knew this outwardly, but experienced it inwardly. It was quite sobering: to have something you relied upon vanish in a heartbeat.
The reality of Christ as Victor was another aspect I was impressed with this week. In Revelation, the events are recorded in past tense, with the view that all these things have already occurred, Christ has already won the victory, it's just through time we are seeing it come to pass. Similarly, what I thought was still unresolved was actually already done and over with, it was only a matter of time until I had come to my senses. I still quite don't understand the Lord's timing, but I appreciate the portion shared in the ministry: praising before understanding. Praise the Lord!
Then there was also the wonderful freedom in the Lord. Oh wonderful freedom, glorious freedom, no more in chains of sin I repine! Jesus the glorious Emancipator, now and forever, He shall be mine! Thank You Lord for the assurance, Jesus is mine, and no one can take that away. How sweet is the name of Jesus, it drives away all fears, and drives away all fears.
I am grateful to the Lord, He is a God of righteousness, His Word shall not pass away. He's faithful and true, in Him is no lie.
Come, Lord Jesus!
